Thank you for letting me be here, for teaching me how to speak English, for helping me with my homework, and thank you for all the opportunities you’ve given me. It’s been a beautiful experience here because I learned how to speak English, they gave me an opportunity to meet lots of cool police officers. PALS is a great place for kids to come and learn a lot of cool things.

Thank you to PALS for everything. They’ve been there since day one basically. It’s always been like my second home too. I’ve been here since I was seven years old, I’ve created bonds with people who have been here and those who have left. They’ve always been there for me and for my family too so I’m grateful. I didn’t have as much motivation as before but, here, I’ve learned to not give up, to always dream high. You can achieve anything, and you can always change too.

Thank you for the experience I had here. I loved every year that I was here. I loved being a C.I.T., hanging around with the kids, getting to know each one of them. And actually learning how to lead fun activities for them, because I really don’t do any of that. Thank you and I appreciate this place. It has also helped me want to commit to doing stuff at home too.

Thank you for being able to bring me close to a lot of people. It feels like a second home to me. Coming here, I can talk to people that I know and see most of my best friends here. Lots of the workers are really nice too so they take part in that because they’re really energetic, funny, and kind. I’ve learned a lot of great leadership skills and I learned how to work with kids and how to interact with new people. I also learned how to take control when I have to. Because they teach sports, I also learned good sportsmanship now, and I know how to play a lot of sports because of them! So now, if I ever need to learn anything new, I could come here and probably learn it because most of the things I learned, I learned here at PALS. I just love PALS! If I ever need anything, I just come here and I can talk to anyone because I trust the people here.

Hi, I’m Anthony Martinez. I’ve been at PALS for 11 years now. I’ve definitely gained better leadership skills. I want to thank PALS for the opportunity you gave me to learn and grow. You helped me figure out my career, to join law enforcement. PALS is like a second home to me. It gives kids the opportunity to make a difference and it really impacts their lives.
